Ford Mustang Shelby West Coast Customs Limited Edition

Shelby started with a stock 2006 Ford Mustang GT. To bump power an "exclusive" Vortech Supercharger was added. Along with a computer remapping it's said to make over 500hp! According to Carroll Shelby "It's got the bark of the old muscle cars and the look of a new sports car. It's one of the best projects I've been a part of."

After the performance aspect of the car was to Shelby's liking it was then turned over to the well known customizers at West Coast Customs. For those who don't know West Coast Customs was involved with the MTV series "Pimp My Ride". We just hope Mr. Shelby didn't allow them to "Pimp" this ride, although according to the list of styling features added it sounds like they just might have.

The list of appearance items added to this "ride" includes 22" Shelby/West Coast Customs-branded Lexani wheels with Pirelli tires, new fender "swells", rocker panels, specially designed front bumper, side scoops, rear wing and fenders, and a custom grill. Other exterior additions are a new hood that is designed to "encase the V8 with a single scoop for air redirection" and a race-inspired Shelby/West Coast Customs gas cap.

Other modifications done by West Coast Customs include custom upholstered interior with embroidered Shelby and West Coast Customs logo badging all around including the steering wheel and center console. West Coast Customs didn't stop at just making the interior look good, they also made it sound good by adding a Sony DVD head unit, their own branded speakers, and three 10" subwoofers in the trunk.

"We are honored to be working with an American icon like Carroll Shelby and look forward to making history with him," said Ryan Friedlinghaus, CEO of West Coast Customs. "We wanted to continue the tradition of power that comes with the Shelby name while giving the new Mustang the unique flare and design touches of West Coast Customs. Enthusiasts are going to find that the blend of top-of-the-line performance and one-of-a-kind design bring together the best of both worlds in this Mustang."
